Non-Profit Involvement

Application Boot Camp® has helped level the playing field for our students in the South Bronx as they navigate the complex college admissions process.  Michele and Mimi have supplemented the work of the KIPP To College college counselor and provided our students with a behind the scenes look at how to apply to highly competitive colleges.”

The Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP)

Knowledge is power

We have been privileged to work with students from the Knowledge Is Power Program (KIPP). KIPP is a national network of free, open-enrollment, college-preparatory public charter schools that helps prepare students in underserved communities for success in college.

The Mazie Mentoring Program was honored to be invited to send one of our students to Application Boot Camp this summer. Our student came back to school glowing with excitement and relieved to know that she is completely done with her college applications. She is confident and secure with her choice of schools as well as the applications she has prepared, and can now enjoy her senior year. In her words; ‘They were so nice and they knew everything about me even before I got to Boot Camp. Also, it is a huge weight lifted off my shoulders.’ A huge thank you for giving our student this valuable opportunity!

The John Andrew Mazie Memorial Foundation

Involvement in our local community is truly important to us. We are thrilled to have a nonprofit partnership with the John Andrew Mazie Memorial Foundation, a local grassroots, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Framingham, MA and Waltham, MA high school students realize their full potential. The Mazie mentor program offers support to local students who face adversity on their path to success.
